So today my parents drove down to visit me! I made "Meal" for us (it was too late to be lunch and too early for dinner, so I just called it "Meal"). :-D We'd been talking about them refurbishing my old bike so that I could ride it back and forth to school and work. To be more environmentally friendly, to save money, and to also be a little healthier.

But it turned out that just buying a new simple little bike would cost less than refurbing the old one (it needed new tires and brakes). So they brought me a new bike! :-D It's awesome, and the same exact color as TinyCar! :-D And they got me a helmet that is ALSO the same color. :-D I love it.

But.

Unfortunately.

I was just sitting here on the sofa, watching Saturday Night Live (and realizing that I'm going to have to get the new Green Day album, and that it's been 15 years since the first Green Day album I ever bought :-o). And my bike is currently parked in the living room over by the front door, and all of a sudden I hear this
POPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss........
Scared the CRAP out of me!!

Turns out that the back tired just completely deflated. No idea what caused it. But now I can't ride it. :-(((((((
My plan is to try to fit it in the back of TinyCar tomorrow and drive up there so we can see if we can exchange/replace it or something.

...I'm sort of hoping that it didn't pop because of my little ride around the parking lot earlier today. I was on it for all of 2 minutes total. The tires have to be sturdier than that, right? I know I'm heavy, but... O_o Fatties can ride bikes too...

On the bright side, I saw Star Trek again! Love it!!!!
